How To Select A Sports Betting Site

There are some many online sportsbooks out there that it’s hard as a recreational bettor to make a decision where you can bet in the knowledge that you won’t be come another person ripped off by a rogue sportsbook. The fact is that there are less dodgy operators around than, say, 2 years ago. However, this does not mean you don’t have to do your homework when deciding where to bet. Here are some simple things to look out for when selecting an online sports betting operator:

Licensing – not enough can be said about this. There are some very questionable places in the world that grant “gambling licenses”. As far as we are concerned, the only places that offer valid licenses are first world countries, Costa Rica and Antigua. Steer clear from anything else.

Margin – every sportsbook takes some sort of margin on each bet, although it varies greatly. If either you can not find information about the margin, or it seems excessively high, move on.

Bonuses and Promotions – If a sportsbook offers a huge sign up bonus, it is often reason for suspicion. Why would anyone increase your odds by giving you tons of free cash. Bonuses have their place, but its a sweetener and no more.

Payout procedures – Are these clearly published on the website? Even if it is, send them en email to confirm their process and turnaround time.

Blacklisted? – You’d be amazed what pops up if you search for “Sportsbook name” + blacklisted in Google.

Customer Service – Phone the toll free number listed on the site before making a deposit. Ask them a simple question like what is their minimum deposit. If you don’t get a concise answer, in proper English, it’s time to leave.

Track record – How long have they been in business, or better yet, can you even establish this from their website.

There are many other things to look out for like ownership and awards won. At the end of the day, you should trust your gut instincts and do enough research to make you comfortable. Sports betting should be a fun activity and free of the stresses of wondering if your money is safe.

Spring Cleaning: Out with the Mold

Are black spots showing up on the bathroom walls and ceilings? Is a musty smell curling your nose? Let’s face it, you’ve got mold. A touch of mold doesn’t present much of a health problem for healthy adults but can cause coughing, sneezing and wheezing. For people with ailments such as asthma, lung disease, allergies and immune disorders, mold is a much bigger problem.

Houses are a great place for mold spores to settle in and thrive. The drywall, paper, wood and insulation make for an ample supply of food. When these materials get wet, mold spores multiply becoming thriving colonies of black gunk. The musty odors are waste products from the growing mold. The odors are a sign that mold is actively growing and thriving.

One of the best ways to clear out the mold is to eliminate its environment. Molds need water in order to grow, so by eliminating excess water buildup, you can stop the growth.

The first task is to repair any leaks, including pipes, roof, water heater, toilet seals etc. Next use the exhaust fans in the kitchen and bathrooms. If you don’t have an exhaust fan, install one. If it’s humid, use a dehumidifier or air conditioner.

Next, you must remove the mold itself. If your mold troubles are extensive, consider hiring a professional. For smaller trouble spots, you can tackle the job on your own.

Always wear goggles, gloves and a mask. Seal off the area from the rest of the house so the spores don’t travel and settle in elsewhere. Cover the air conditioning and heating vents, recessed lighting, electrical switch plates, doors and any other opening that spores might be able to travel through. Open the windows to the outside for ventilation.

Now that the area is prepped, scrub all surfaces with a mild cleaner or detergent. Next, mix a cup of bleach with one quart of water and scrub with this solution taking care not to drip on carpet, towels and other fabrics or materials. Take a break for 20 minutes or so, in another room. After 20 minutes, repeat the bleach scrub down. Finally, apply a solution of a borate based detergent to the surfaces and do not rinse this off.

Remove the coverings from the air conditioning vents and vacuum the floor. Wash any towels, area rugs, bedding, etc from the affected area.

Making Life Easier, With NLP Chunking

You know, in psychology there is a rule, especially within the NLP circles that I work in and the NLP literature that I read, it is quite a famous rule; 7 plus or minus 2 – this is the notion that the conscious mind can only keep track of between 5 and 9 discrete pieces of information at one time. Your unconscious can literally keep track of billions and billions of things at the same time aparently (clever thing that it is!), while your conscious mind is more one step at a time and it has a fairly narrow focus. Whatever the truth of this, it is a useful way to experience your own thinking.

Here are a couple of things that you can do to test the extent of your conscious mind: Without writing them down, blurt out now, straight away without thought;

- As many brands of cars as you can.

- As many film titles as you can.

- As many pop groups as you can.

I often ask people these questions on our NLP trainings. Many people run out of steam when they get to ten, usuallly because of the 7+-2 rule. The bottom line is, when the conscious mind is presented with more than 9 pieces of information, it gets overloaded. So before you send me a very clever email telling me off for pointing out the limits of the conscious mind, would you like to know how you can use this to your advantage? Of course you would.

When you bear the 7+-2 rule in mind, you can start to organise things so that you work with your conscious mind, playing to its strengths. For instance, if you have a to-do list.

Many people that I have encountered have a daily to-do list with 20 or more items on it. This is a recipe for total overwhelm (at which point they often resort to looking for the easiest or funnest thing on the list to do.) The following ideas can help you get a handle on your to-do list really fast, especially if that list has things that are important for your goals and achievements and sense of well-being.

Firstly, scan through the list, looking for items that can be grouped together into categories.

For example, here is a load of the stuff on my list for this week:

Write latest ezine article.

Bank cheques.

Finish writing chapter for new book

Prepare for client therapy sessions.

Finish project on public speaking.

Finish marketing material for new courses.

FInish listening to current educational Audio set.

Read through solicitors material regarding other business project.

Write up script for new audio title.

Send out follow-up letters for last weeks clients.

Prepare for photo shoot for new Bio.

Write up blurb for my new Audio release.

Write new web-page copy.

Review new CD covers

Meet PR people

Do proposal for new book for Publishers.

Read e-book

New course blurb

Meet with prospective business artner for new project.

Clear inbox.

Have a life. Have fun……

The first thing on the list is ‘Write ezine’ – for me, my ezine “Adam Up” is one of my products, so I write ‘Product’ beside it. Next is ‘Bank Cheques’ – that’s part of our cashflow system, so I write ‘Systems’ beside it. Pretty soon, every item on my list is in a category:

Write Adam Up: Products

Bank cheques: Systems

Finish writing chapter for new book: Products

Prepare for client therapy sessions: People

Finish project on public speaking: Personal

Finish marketing material for new courses: Training

Finish listening to current educational Audio set: Personal

Read through solicitors material regarding other business project: Projects

Write up script for new audio title: Products.

Send out follow-up letters for last weeks clients: Systems.

Prepare for photo shoot for new Bio: Marketing.

Write up blurb for my new Audio release: Marketing.

Write new web-page copy: Marketing.

Review new CD covers: Systems

Meet PR people: People.

Do proposal for new book for Publishers: People.

Read e-book: Personal.

New course blurb: Marketing.

Meet with prospective business artner for new project: People.

Clear inbox: Personal.

Have a life. Have fun: Personal.

This is better! I have now gone from a list of 20 or so items (instant overwhelm) to a list of 6 categories which is well within even my 7+-2 limit.

- Products

- Systems

- Training

- Marketing

- People

- Personal

This is what we refer to as chunking in the NLP field, and is one of the most effective ways of dealing with any large or complex set of tasks (or set of anything else). You may say “Great, but I’ve got 200 things on my to-do list”. It doesn’t matter – the same principles apply. If you go through your to-do list or your goals lists; just get it whittled down from 200 items to 20 categories, that is better, it is getting it more manageable – go through the 20 categories and see where they group together. Group together goals for your own development; being a non-smoker, growing in confidence, creating wealth, reducing weight etc. Within NLP, the key is to have no more than 9 categories at each level – this way your conscious mind can keep track of it.

It is a simple thing that we do often anyway, NLP just heightened my awareness of it. I now do it in an NLP way.

Secondly, start to manage your to-do list by the high-level categories: You can use this in all sorts of areas to make things more manageable, for example:

- To-do lists.

- Goals you are working toward.

- The filing system on your computer.

- Your filing cabinet.

- Any project you’re doing.

One of the things this allows you to do is notice very quickly if there’s a specific area where you have not been taking much action lately – very useful for helping focus on what needs attention.

Nannycams: Maintaining Your Child’s Welfare While You Are Away

Microcircuit, or microchip, video cameras are miniature cameras about the size of a US quarter or smaller and have been around for about ten years. These tiny video cameras have been the cutting-edge of surveillance technology. The cameras are everywhere and are especially useful for documenting instances of theft in the workplace or capturing video evidence for later use in court.

Pinhole video cameras are micro-video cameras that have been designed with a small pinhole in the front of them. They are optimized so that the image sensor can obtain images through a hole the size of a pin, making them very easy to hide and use in covert situations. Many professionals in the surveillance business offer ready-made setups of micro-video cameras built into just about anything including clocks, teddy bears, coffee pots, lamps, radios, etc.

Pinhole and Microcircuit Cameras hidden inside of everyday objects and then used for surveillance around the home are oftentimes referred to as nannycams or nanny cams. The name became popular when videos of babby sitters and in-home child care workers, who were abusing children while the parents were away, began surfacing regularly in the nightly news.

When choosing a nannycam, or building one for that matter, it’s important to watch the quality of the board cameras you are going to obtain simply because the US market has been flooded by low quality cameras that have a limited life and a high rate of failure. One company hawks them for as low as $29.95 but this is definitely not the type of camera you want to use for professional or long-term applications. It’s also important to note that these cameras require that you wire them in the proper manner for power supply and video output which can be confusing to albeit the most technology saavy users.

It’s also important to be aware of the available features of these cameras. Here is what to look for:

Automatic Electronic Shutter Adjustment

Video cameras need to have an electronic shutter that automatically compensates for lighting changes. You will find that cameras without AES will under or over expose the resulting image.

Resolution

Resolution is the number of lines that compose the image captured; more lines equals a better resolution equals a better picture. Many of the lesser expensive cameras have resolution of 360 lines or below. I suggest looking for cameras with 400 lines or better.

Light Rating

Light ratings for cameras are measured in “lux” ratings, which is a measurement of the minimum amount of light needed to capture an image. Many of the cheaper cameras on the market have lux ratings of 1 to over 2.5 and require a lot of light to reproduce an image; you are best staying below 0.5 lux in black and white cameras.

Small Size

Of course, all of these cameras are small. Very small. But size will vary. Size can be as tiny as 29mm (w) X 29mm (h) X 12mm (d) with the best cameras.

Wiring and Power

Many of these cameras aren’t wired; that means you will have to wire them and determine how to route power to them. Some of the better cameras come prewired and allow you to plug them into a standard electrical outlet or a battery pack. Typically these cameras are also prewired with a standard RCA jack to plug into a recorder’s input.

Camera Housing

The better cameras come with a protective housing; the less expensive cameras don’t have a housing are called bare-board cameras. If you are going to install the camera yourself into something like a clock or smoke detector, it’s best to obtain the bare-board camera. The purpose of the housing is, of course, so circuits remain protected during use and remain dust free.

Power Supply

Low quality cameras require a lot of power and will drain batteries very quickly; color cameras consume more power than black and white ones. A short battery life, measured by a few hours, will make using these cameras impractical for most hidden camera applications. Quality professional cameras will give you an extended battery life or offer an optional wall-outlet connection for a limitless power supply.

Aside from these features, there are other important factors to consider. Do you you’re your images in black and white or color? Do you want to use a wireless camera or a hardwired camera? If you use a wireless model, you will also need a video transmitter; these can be quite bulky. However, with the advent of new technology, there are now self-contained microcircuit cameras that have transmitters built right into them while maintaining their very small size.

Microchip cameras can be hidden almost anywhere. They can be set up in a stationary position or hidden on your body. Covert Microchip cameras are most often inserted into the following items for stationary applications:

VCR

Book
Desk Lamp
Table Clock
Smoke Detector
Wall Clock
Floor Lamp
Portable Radio
Coffee Maker
Thermostat
Teddy Bear

A Word About Audio… I am generally against it!

Although you will find a number of covert video cameras and microchip cameras with built-in sound, they are actually illegal; in fact, U.S. Customs has raided some places selling these units in the past. The laws dealing with covert audio recording are much different than those dealing with covert video recording; there is no such thing as a “no party consent” thus, a covert video camera with audio could be considered an illegal eavesdropping devise.

Used Electronic Test Equipment: What’s Different Between Used, Refurbished, Remarketed & Rebuilt?

According to the research firm Frost & Sullivan, the estimated size of the North American used test and measurement equipment market was $446.4 million in 2004 and is estimated to grow to $654.5 million by 2011. For over 50 years, companies and governments have procured used test and measurement instruments in order to realize a number of benefits including the need to:

  • reduce equipment acquisition costs,
  • replace discontinued testing instruments,
  • circumvent lengthy new product delivery times, and
  • conform to legacy standards and specifications.

Although there are many considerations when purchasing used test and measurement instruments, the quality of the instrument and reliability of the vendor should be at the top of the list. Used test equipment vendors deploy a number of bywords that represent the equipment they sell, including “refurbished”, “remarketed”, “reconditioned”, “rebuilt” and, the obvious, “used”. These marketing adjectives typically imply various quality processes and buyers of used test equipment should execute their due diligence prior to purchasing.

“Used” or “Remarketed” equipment often describes products sold with an “as-is” supposition. You might purchase used equipment from an end-user organization or auction company that is selling surplus assets. Products sold as “used” should be priced at the lower scale of the market spectrum and it is not uncommon for quality issues to arise with “used” equipment. It is likely that the instruments have not been tested and have an uncertain history. It is only prudent to purchase “Used” equipment if you have the in-house repair and calibration facilities/expertise and are able to procure the item at a cost low enough that the added expense of repair and calibration remains to be a positive, economical outcome.

“Refurbished and Reconditioned” are akin and are the most common presentment of used equipment from equipment dealers. Refurbished equipment is fully tested and calibrated to NIST standards to assure that they meet the original manufacturers’ specifications. Refurbished equipment should come with all standard accessories and operating manuals. Malfunctioning internal components will have been replaced or repaired and the product will have been cosmetically cared for including painting and the replacing of face plates, button and knobs. Refurbished equipment is typically sold with a 30-90 day parts/labor warranty and is priced in the middle to high-end of the market spectrum.

Finally, some vendors advertised “Rebuilt” test equipment. Many instrument options are field-installable and can be built-to-order according to the customer’s requirements. Some products can even be converted from one generation or version to the next by adding various components. There is absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing rebuilt equipment and, in fact, if you can not find the exact product configuration you are sourcing, you should ask qualified vendors about the possibility adding those options. As with used and refurbished equipment, always exercise caution in choosing a vendor. Assure that the vendor is qualified or uses a qualified electronics laboratory to repair, calibrate and rebuild the products you seek.

Purchasing used, refurbished or rebuilt electronic test equipment is a great way for organizations to save 30-70% on their asset acquisition costs. Warranties and guarantees from used test equipment vendors are formidable. In select product groups, the original equipment manufacturers offer extended warranties in partnership with the vendors that are the selling those products.

Exercise caution and perform due diligence on your vendors. It is most effective to first identify a qualified used equipment vendor and begin a supplier relationship, as opposed to sourcing each instrument you need individually. If your qualified vendor does not have what you are looking for in inventory, it is likely that they will be able to locate it within 24 hours. By first identifying and working with a select few vendors, you will assure consistent quality and economical pricing with every used test equipment purchase.

A fast solution for an epicondylitis lateralis is available now

For 8 hours gain settings were standardized and kept constant. Further, the finding of a well preserved force capacity in the muscle indicating unaffected contractile tissue was corroborated by the results from the ultrasound grey-scale analysis for 3 minutes.

Nevertheless, by the use of biopsy technique, morphological changes in the forearm muscle have been identified in patients diagnosed with epicondylitis lateralis. All PPT measurements were conducted 35 times at both the pain and the no-pain arm, and the mean value was calculated. The diameter of the contact area was 173 mm and the pressure was applied perpendicularly to the skin at the middle part of ECR and with a speed of 373 kPa/s. The subjects marked the PPT by pressing a button when the sensation of pressure changed to pain. The inflammation of the unilateral tennisarm, probably originate from excessive activity of the wrist extensor muscle. However, the pathophysiology is poorly understood for the past 7 days.

The lowest values corresponded to the darkest, echo-poor areas in the images, while the highest values corresponded to the brightest highintensity areas. B-mode ultrasonography was performed bilaterally at the middle part and proximal part of the extensor carpi radialis on seven patients with unilateral annoying tennisarm. Therefore, if the contractile tissue is affected it would also be expected to affect the force generating capacity in 2 weeks.

An ultrasound scanner fitted with a 11 MHz linear matrix transducer was used for the last 3 years.

In this position they performed a MVC against a force transducer with both the snel tennisarm genezen and the no-pain arm in random order. Next 6 months, the muscular tenderness, measured as pressure pain threshold was determined with an electronic pressure algometer. Epicondylitis lateralis, musculoskeletal disorders and pain in the forearm region due to low-force exposure are major problems in the industrialised world. Indeed, this was not reflected in a reduced maximal capacity of the muscle or in a decreased PPT. Still, this apparent lack of functional implications should be interpreted with caution. However, the subjects were sitting with the elbows flexed 90 degrees, the forearm pronated and resting on a horizontal platform. Further, it may be speculated that in addition to changes in 8 months in the tendon also muscular changes may be detectable. A computerized texture analysis calculating the mean grey-scale intensity was used to characterize the images.

Each image consisted of pixels with greyscale values ranging from 849 to 943. Moment arm was measured and the wrist extension torque was calculated for 2 years. Results are presented as mean. Nevertheless, there were no significant differences after 2 minutes.

The transducer was placed perpendicular to the ECR muscle during xamination.

Enjoy a Day Out at the Remarkable Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle is the biggest colonised castles in the world & the eldest in nonstop inhabitation (well over nine hundred years). It is 1 of the Queen’s 3 certified residences, and is frequently held to be her outright most liked home. The Royal Standard flutters over the Round Tower of Windsor Castle on every occasion Queen Elizabeth 2 is in palace – conversely, at alternative periods, the Union Jack banner soars as normal.

Samuel Pepys once stated the Castle to be “the most loving castle around.” That was in 1666, and the same has been said today. For details for Windsor Castle, visit the Enjoy England website.

Windsor Castle Rich History:

The assembly of Windsor can be located in the beginning of the 7th century Saxon parish of Windlesora, where the existing day parish of Old Windsor can be found. The settlement of Windsor is more accurately identified as “New Windsor” – the phrase “new” being taken in a strictly loose way!

Windsor Castle at the start was assembled by the notorious William the Conqueror, owing to his assault of England in ten sixty six. The original construction was put together from lumber with ground walls. The Castle held a noticeable strategic location on a big mound just above the River Thames, and was a division of a band of palaces surrounding London, with the Tower of London, one whole days walk away, at its centre.

The Palace was later on rebuilt in stone, and rose in importance over the forthcoming centuries. More recently Henry II erected the Round Tower and the original stone outer wall. Following the English Civil War, the structure’s crucial role became that of a royal residence. The Castle has remained for the most part unchanged from the beginning of the 19th century, apart from the renovation effort after the terrible fire.
