How to Find Cost Free Professional Citezens Advice

Over the last twelve months there has been a noticeable increase in the sheer number of debt consolidation companies currently providing free debt advice. Most businesses providing debt advice do so on a non committal basis. For those in debt a significant problem is getting a handle on if these companies provide the best value with regard to the information they give and the services they offer.

Getting objective citezens advice will be time consuming. However, it is always worth shopping around where financial advice is concerned. Customers would be silly to simply go with the first debt adviser they find.

Debt counselling companies are controlled by government bodies to make sure they are trained and manage individual personal privacy. The weaknesses with this is that it almost impossible to properly check or understand an organisations motives when giving free debt advice. The question is, how is it possible for an agent determine if debt advice has been provided in the best interests of the consumer or whether, perhaps, debt advice given was was motivated by the advisers own revenue?

The fact of the matter is companies offering debt advice are trying to produce a profit, it is possible that this will raise an ethical dilemma between the individual and the debt adviser. Revenue is generated by forwarding customers on to other businesses or instead by collecting setup costs from credit companies. It is therefore difficult to get a handle on how efficiently such companies are actually helping their clients. The main worry is that these debt advice companies could be inclined to make recommendations was motivated by their own profits instead of offering the best option to their clients.

The truth is the majority of debtors do not fully appreciate their entitlements with reference to debt and debt consolidation generally. If they did understand these customers would no longer need the advice of professional debt counsellors.
